Lentil salad with pickled onions
Delicious and bright salad of black lentils will delight you with its taste! But the pickled onions give piquancy.

Ingredients

  • Lentils

    200 g

  • Pepper

    0.5 piece

  • Tomato

    1 piece

  • Onion

    2 piece

  • Brown sugar

    160 g

  • Vinegar

    100 ml

  • Water

    300 ml

  • Olive oil

    50 ml

Cooking

Marinate the onions in advance. Add to hot water sugar and stir to dissolve the granules. In cold water, add vinegar.

Cut into thin half-rings onions and dip in the marinade. Leave it for 2 hours. But if you don't have much time, enough for 15 min.

Storage put the onions with the marinade in a glass jar and close the lid. So it can be stored in the refrigerator for several weeks. And salad need a small part from this recipe.

Place the washed lentils in a saucepan with water and bring to a boil. After boiling, cook the black lentils for 15-20 minutes over low heat. Proportions: 1 tbsp. lentils 2 tbsp.water.

Cut into thin half-rings pepper and tomato. Add to the lentils, season with salt and pepper. To taste, add the pickled onions and season with olive oil, which I put a bit of thyme and rosemary. Bon appetit!!!
