Russian pilaf
Unexpected flavor. Discover, as I did, a new garnish.

Ingredients

  • Pearl barley

    1 cup

  • Oyster mushrooms

    300 g

  • Carrots

    1 piece

  • Onion

    1 piece

  • Vegetable oil

  • Salt

  • Black pepper

Cooking

My oyster mushrooms and cook for 10 minutes (don't forget to add salt!).

Cut onion, fry. Grate on a grater carrots, fry (separate from onions). Mix the onions and carrots.

Boiled oyster mushrooms cut and fry.

Mix oyster mushrooms, onions and carrots. Put in a pan (I have prepared in the roaster).

Boil 2.5 cups of water, when boiling, throw into it the salt and washed pearl barley. Cook for 5 minutes. With barley drained the water. Mix with mushrooms, onions and carrots. Fill (to almost all blend closed) with boiling water and close the lid. Wait, when will begin to boil. Make a slow fire and stew until ready.

All water needs to evaporate. Time obtained 15 minutes. I didn't expect that's going to be delicious (first time here so eat barley, and even with mushrooms). It really goes well with the meat. Bon appetit!!!
