Cooking

step-0
Boil the rice in any convenient way and leave to cool. Figure better to take the starchy varieties. I took the "Arborio", cooked in the slow cooker.
step-1
A can of tuna then place in a bowl and mash with a fork.
step-2
Add to tuna 2 cups cooled rice, beat the egg, squeeze the garlic (optional), chop the greens, add salt and pepper to taste, add flour (approximately 2 tbsp). Mix well.
step-3
From the resulting mass wet hands to form "balls" of the desired size. Then "balls" roll in flour.
step-4
Let the "balls" just stand up while we prepare the gravy. It won't be long.
step-5
You can cook tomato sauce in its own way, a different way. Or can prepare any other gravy. I'm doing a very simple tomato. For the tomato gravy in a bowl I mixed the tomato paste and hot boiled water. Add a little salt and a pinch of sugar.
step-6
Now we have to put on the fire a frying pan (or skillet) and pour vegetable oil. As the oil is well warmed up, put on the pan "balls" and flatten them a bit, giving the shape of meatballs.
step-7
The meatballs and fry on both sides until Golden brown. Then gently pour tomato gravy. After a few minutes, lower the heat to low, cover the pan with a lid and stand for a few minutes.
step-8
Piping-hot dumplings are served on the table.
step-9
Bon appetit!
