Spicy salted herring
Once I got cooking newsletter with the title "Spicy food". There was also a "Sharp herring". Because I love herring in all sorts of fills, I decided to make this and try it :-) Go you, maybe you would like the herring. Found the site, mainly the recipes of salting fresh herring. This recipe is invited to do the salt herring even better :-)

Ingredients

  • Fish fillets

    400 g

  • Greens

    0.5 cup

  • Water

    1.5 cup

  • Sugar

    0.5 cup

  • Allspice

    6 piece

  • Black pepper

    10 piece

  • Bay leaf

    2 piece

  • Carnation

    5 piece

  • Mustard seeds

    0.5 Tbsp

  • Carrots

    2 piece

  • Onion

    2 piece

  • Vinegar

    3 Tbsp

Cooking

Cut the carrots in small cubes. You can grate it.

Onion cut into rings or half rings, as you like.

In a saucepan, pour water and dissolve sugar in it. I took hot water to make the sugar dissolve faster. In sugar water add the chopped onions and carrots and all the spices except vinegar. Bring the marinade to a boil and remove from heat. Add vinegar. Leave the marinade to cool.

Fillet cut into small pieces.

When the marinade has cooled to almost room temperature, add the herring and chopped dill. Mix well, cover and forget in the fridge for a few days.

Two days later, take out the herring from the refrigerator, spread on a plate and served to the table.
