Spoonbread
Spoonbread (Spoon Bread) is a dense pudding rather common in the southern United States and more like a very soft "bread." Very interesting taste and not less interesting the result.

Ingredients

  • Butter

    5 Tbsp

  • Corn flour

    140 g

  • Salt

    0.333 tsp

  • Raisins

    0.333 cup

  • Semi-dry red wine

  • Water

    480 ml

  • Milk

    240 ml

  • Chicken egg

    3 piece

  • Sugar

    2 Tbsp

Cooking

Melt the butter on low heat and set aside.

Take raisins of any color (the dark one will be spectacular) and

soak in a warm red wine.

In a bowl, mix cornmeal, flour, salt, sugar and raisins.

Stir.

Pour in the boiling water. Good rasteret mass and let it stand 10 minutes.

Bring the milk almost to a boil and slowly introduce it to the mixture.

Add the eggs and

vigorously whisk.

Pour the melted butter into the batter and mix.

Put the dough in a greased form and bake 20-30 minutes in preheated oven to 190-200°C.

Remove and cool slightly.

Cut into pieces and serve with syrup, jam or jam.
