Sardines Venetian
Want to offer a cold Italian appetizer of the Veneto region sarde in saôr - sardines Venetian sweet-and-sour sauce with onions, raisins and pine nuts. Try this simple but interesting snack.

Ingredients

  • Dry white wine

    100 ml

  • Bay leaf

    2 piece

  • Olive oil

    3 Tbsp

  • Pine nuts

    30 g

  • Raisins

    30 g

  • Fish

    300 g

  • Salt

    1 tsp

  • Onion

    2 piece

  • Flour

    2 Tbsp

  • Black pepper

    5 piece

  • Sugar

    0.5 Tbsp

  • Vinegar

    3 tsp

Cooking

The cooking time of meals is specified without including time for marinating. Peel the onion, cut into thin half-rings.

Fry in 1 tbsp olive oil until transparent. Pour the vinegar, wine, salt, add sugar, pepper, Bay leaf, simmer for 10 minutes.

Remove from heat, add raisins and pine nuts. Cool.

Clean the sardines to remove the head, viscera, fish wash, dry.

Roll in flour and fry in 2 spoons a preheated pan of olive oil.

Spread in the shape of half the onion mixture over the top layer of sardines.

Cover with second half of onion mixture. Put into the refrigerator for 2 days.
