Description

The duck liver pâté
A delicious pate that will appeal to all! For the contest "Gorenje: Christmas song".

Ingredients

  • Orange

    1 piece

  • Butter

    300 g

  • Bread

    1 piece

  • Dry white wine

    2 Tbsp

  • Salt

  • Dill

  • Mayonnaise

  • Liver duck

    500 g

  • Onion

    1 piece

  • Thyme

Cooking

With orange remove the peel and squeeze out 2 tablespoons juice.

Liver wash, remove the film and cut into slices.

Finely chop the onion.

50 g butter melt in a pan and fry the liver and onion for 2 minutes on each side.

Add salt and pepper.

Then add juice, zest and thyme/Basil, stir, remove from heat and allow to cool.

From slices of a loaf a glass press out circles.

Bake the slices in the oven until Golden brown, allow to cool.

From liver make puree (blender or grinder), then add soft butter (a small amount of oil detachable and put them in the freezer) and wine. Knead well and put in refrigerator.

Frozen butter grate and spread on toasted bread slices.

With a spoon, continually dipping it into hot water, make balls of the paste and spread it on slices of baguette.

Decorate with dill - a kind of Christmas tree twigs. For dill put mayonnaise, our "tree branches" like snowing.

Spread bread slices with pate on a plate and decorate.
