Cooking
In warm milk dissolve yeast, add 1/3 of the flour, stir and let the dough rise in a warm place.
Add the melted butter, egg, sugar and salt, mix just enough flour to make elastic dough. The dough is well knead and put for 30 minutes in a warm place.
Divide dough into 2 parts, I decided to make a cake in a round shape, but the prescription he rectangular. So, the form grease with butter and cover one half of the dough.
Stepping back a bit from the edge, place the onion and fennel.
Then the salmon cut into thin, wide slices, but better to buy once sliced.
Next, lay out the eggs if you use eggs, then they too should be cut into slices. Pepper this layer and fill with sour cream or yogurt. (Sometimes cream is replaced with butter, cut it slices and spread on top of fish, as for me, it is too bold)
Cover the filling with the remaining half of the dough, the edges suscipiam. Leave the cake for 15 minutes for proofing, brush lightly with beaten egg and bake for 30-35 minutes at 200C.
Pie "Kalakukko" is traditionally served with beer, but we had tea :) enjoy your meal!
