Ossetian pie with tomatoes, Basil and mint
Try a slice of the pie... and be transported to the Mediterranean... Recipe from my favorite magazine "Just. Delicious" (2010, No. 4 ). Slightly altered it for themselves. (reviewed available recipes on the website - did not find :)) )

Ingredients

  • Chicken egg

    2 piece

  • Flour

    200 g

  • Salt

  • Butter

    125 g

  • Onion

    2 piece

  • Basil

  • Mint

  • Tomato

    600 g

  • Cheese

    300 g

  • Water

Cooking

Protein of one egg separated from the yolk and put in the fridge. Yolk mix with the flour, salt, butter pieces and water.

knead the dough

spread the dough on the bottom and a little around the edges (I do this with my hands first, of course you can roll it, and then pass to the form) and refrigerate for 30 minutes. Preheat the oven to 200 degrees and bake for 20 min.

While baked base, chop the onion squares

Wash herbs, shake the branches and separate leaves

Tomatoes cut into thick circles.

cheese mix with the remaining protein and one egg, season with salt and pepper, season to taste.

Remove from oven the crust and spread the cheese mixture

sprinkle with the onion, put tomatoes and sprinkle with leaves of herbs. Season with salt and send in the oven a little more than an hour.

serve both hot and cold.
