Walnut pockets
German Christmas cakes.

Ingredients

  • Flour

    250 g

  • Butter

    100 g

  • Sugar

    100 g

  • Almonds

    100 g

  • Rum

    2 Tbsp

  • Chicken egg

    1 piece

  • Vanilla sugar

    1 pack

  • Leavening agent

    0.5 pack

  • Water

    5 Tbsp

Cooking

For the filling: melt 50 g of butter, add 50 g of sugar, nuts, egg and rum. Mix well.

For the dough: mix all the remaining ingredients and knead the dough.

Roll the dough into a thickness of 2 mm. Cut into squares of 5x5.

Divide the stuffing.

Roll the pockets in the triangles.

Pockets lightly brush with water and sprinkle with nuts.

Bake at 200°C for 15 minutes. Enjoy your tea!
