Description

Onion bread with cheese and Provencal herbs
Very flavorful and tasty bread.

Ingredients

  • Flour

    4 cup

  • Yeast

    2 tsp

  • Sugar

    2 Tbsp

  • Salt

    1 tsp

  • Milk

    300 ml

  • Vegetable oil

    4 Tbsp

  • Onion

    1 piece

  • Cheese

    70 g

  • Yolk egg

    1 piece

  • Seasoning

    1 tsp

Mix in large bowl the flour, sugar and yeast. Pour the milk, stir, cover with film or a towel and set in a warm place for about 1 hour to "zapatillas".

Onions finely chop.

Saute in vegetable oil until a beautiful Golden color. Remove from heat and allow to cool.

Grate cheese on a grater.

In approaching the dough add salt, fried onion, cheese and oil.

Mix everything.

Now add the flour. So, to make a soft, not quite a dough. We pour the flour and knead for 10-15 minutes. Cover with plastic wrap or tea towel and leave again in a warm place about 1 hour until the dough has doubled in size.

Coming up the dough no longer knead. Divide in half, slightly pulling.

Put on a baking sheet sprinkled with flour. Leave for another 30 minutes.

Make 2-3 cuts with a sharp knife, grease with a yolk beaten with water and sprinkle the loaves "herbs de Provence".

Put the pan in a preheated 200*C oven and bake for 15 minutes.

Diminish the heat to 170 and bake for another 15-20 minutes until tender. BON APPETIT!!!
