Herring marinated
Kaszuby - a region in North-Western Poland inhabited by Polish Pomerania - a region. The nationality of the small but distinctive, anciently hunted fish. Herring are generally very popular in Poland, one rollmops is worth something! And this shop herring is very tasty and unusual. Her special tomato marinade with the addition of prunes and raisins, but I replaced salt with soy sauce, which, as you know, goes well with fish. Recommend.

Ingredients

  • Tomatoes in own juice

    100 g

  • Prunes

    25 g

  • Raisins

    1 Tbsp

  • Soy sauce

    2 Tbsp

  • Mustard

    1 tsp

  • Allspice

    4 piece

  • Juniper

    4 piece

  • Sugar

    1 Tbsp

  • Vinegar

    1.5 Tbsp

  • Marjoram

    1 tsp

  • Vegetable oil

    50 ml

  • Bay leaf

    2 piece

Our original products. Juniper berries I bought at the pharmacy, the tomatoes used canned crushed, prepared herring fillets.

Prunes wash and cut into strips. Raisins, wash and pour a quarter Cup of cold water.

Onion cleaned, cut into half rings and fry in vegetable oil until transparent.

Pour a tablespoon Locke soy sauce and proprium onion for 2-3 minutes.

Add to the onions prunes and raisins along with the water in which it soaked. Diminish the heat to low, cover the pan with a lid and simmer for about 15 minutes.

Add tomato mass, another tablespoon of soy sauce, Bay leaf, allspice, juniper berries. Simmer about 5 minutes. Add the mustard, vinegar, sugar and simmer for another 3 minutes.

Add marjoram, stir, straighten salt to taste, sugar, acid. Remove from heat and let cool completely. In a suitable pot put a layer of marinade, then layer of herring, another layer of marinade, etc. the Top layer of the marinade. Remove for a day in the fridge and be patient.

Boil potatoes and it serves our herring under a marinade.
