... or French potato pad. This recipe is from the book by A. Ducas. Despite the fact that the dish was named after its Creator, the French often call this gratin de pommes paillasson, which means "potato pad".

Cooking
Cut onion into very thin half-rings.
Peel the potatoes, dry and RUB on a small grater. A good squeeze.
Mix potatoes with onion and dill.
Over medium heat to heat the non-stick pan, add oil and put the potatoes, tightly tamping in the form of cakes.
Fry on medium heat for approximately 10-15 minutes. With the help of the plate or cover plate flip the tortilla to other side and fry for another 7-10 minutes.
