Halva from semolina
"Paste" in Arabic means "sweetness." Known since ancient times, and today it is a popular delicacy in many Nations. Today I want to introduce you to the halva from semolina.

Ingredients

  • Water

    3 cup

  • Sugar

    1 cup

  • Butter

    100 g

  • Semolina

    1 cup

  • Raisins

    50 g

  • Vanilla

Cooking

Sugar and water mix in a saucepan, bring to a boil over high heat, then reduce the heat to low.

Separately melt the butter, add the semolina.

To cook the semolina until Golden brown.

Gradually stir, pour the semolina to the sugar syrup, add vanilla.

Add the raisins to the semolina and cook until thick.

Lay it on a platter or in bowls and sprinkle with crushed nuts. In semolina you can add chopped apples, bananas, candied fruit.
