Spicy beets (warm salad or side dish )
As my daughter says: "Fasting is a time when man must subdue his passions. And my passion - sweet. So you, mother, more do not lean candy and sweet tarts." Had to do this so tried this tasty warm salad. Not during lent can be served as a side dish.

Ingredients

  • Beets

    1 piece

  • The Apium graveolens Dulce

    2 piece

  • Cucumber

    1 piece

  • Ginger

    1 piece

  • Garlic

    2 tooth

  • Peppers red hot chilli

    0.5 piece

  • Mustard

    1 tsp

  • Brown sugar

    1 tsp

  • Honey

    1 tsp

  • Lemon juice

    1 Tbsp

  • Olive oil

    4 Tbsp

  • Salt

  • Allspice

Cooking

Peel the ginger, hot pepper wash, remove seeds.

Ginger grated, pepper finely chop.

Cucumber cut into strips.

Celery chopped up.

Refined beet planed long petals use peelers with smooth end.

On high heat with olive oil sauté the ginger and hot pepper.

Add the beets.

Mustard seeds. Fry, stirring occasionally, about 5 minutes.

Add celery. Cook for about 5 minutes.

Add the lemon juice, honey, sugar. I took sugar TM Mistral.

Add the finely chopped garlic.

Add the pickled cucumber.

Mix well. Season with salt and pepper to taste. Cook for about 3-5 minutes.

Turn off the heat, cover and let stand 10-15 minutes.
