Cooking
In a saucepan place the rice and pour water. Put on the stove, bring to a boil and cook for about a minute.
Pour in the milk, bring to boil again. Boil for a few minutes.
Cut the vanilla pod in half with a knife scrape the content and add to the rice. There to quit and the pod. Cover, reduce the fire to low and cook for about 20 minutes, not forgetting to interfere from time to time, as the rice may stick to the bottom.
Then add sugar (the amount can adjust to taste, I love sweet dessert), a pinch of salt, stir and cook for about 10 minutes under the lid. Turn off the heat and completely cool dessert.
I used sugar "Mistral" small. As you can see, this is my favorite sugar, it is almost gone :)
A few words about the almonds. I had already cleaned. If you have almonds in the skins, then fill it with boiling water, leave for 5 minutes. Hands, carefully remove the skin, it should be easy to separate. Chop the almonds very finely. Add it to rice, stir.
Separately whip the cream in a solid foam. Also add them to the dessert, gently stirring.
The dessert should serve with cherry sauce. For him, place the cherries and a little syrup from the jar into the pan. In a small quantity of syrup, dilute with starch and enter in the pot. Cook until it thickens, stirring constantly. We need a warm sauce. To prepare the cups, fill them with rice dessert and pour on top of warm cherry sauce.
