Cooking
Carrots three on a coarse grater, onion cut into half rings.
Pork roast with vegetables.
Salt, pepper, add spices and tomato paste. I have tomatoes canned with its own juice.
Pour hot water or broth at the rate of 3 parts liquid to 2 parts grits and boil for 10-15 minutes on low heat.
Pearl barley rinsed and boiled for 5-10 minutes in a separate bowl.
Spread grits evenly in the broth to evaporate the remaining water on low heat.
