Cabbage salad
Was visiting friends in Louisiana, Baton Rouge. Where the real Keygens, which can still be heard French speech and the smell of spices in each lane. Our friends kept the restaurant true Keygen cuisine. God, what a kitchen!!! I want to share with you a few recipes that I got from the chef )) my friend. Salad spicy, very tasty and unusual. Served with meat, ribs, kebabs, steaks.

Ingredients

  • Cabbage

    250 g

  • Carrots

    2 piece

  • Raisins

    1 handful

  • Walnuts

    1 handful

  • Cilantro

    0.5 coup

  • Green onions

    2 piece

  • Vinegar

    1.5 tsp

  • Sugar

    2 Tbsp

  • Salt

    1 pinch

  • Nutmeg

    1 pinch

  • Allspice

  • Mayonnaise

    1.5 Tbsp

  • Cream

    1 Tbsp

Cooking

Cabbage grate or thinly slice. Grate to the same grated peeled carrots. Season with salt and pepper

Soak a handful of raisins in hot water for a couple of minutes. Add to the salad.

Grind a handful of walnuts in a mortar to small pieces. Add to the salad. Then sugar, vinegar or lemon juice, ground nutmeg. Finely chop cilantro and add to the salad. Stir.

In a separate bowl, mix cream and mayonnaise. Add to salad and stir. Decorate the salad with chopped green onions.
