Description

A German dessert with berries
The company grutze (Rote Grutze), very summer, bright and colorful dessert. To call it a jelly I do not dare, while the principle of cooking is very similar. It is good in itself. In the classic version it is served with vanilla pudding or whipped cream. The company grutze can be used as a sauce to ice cream, to waffles, to cereals and as a filling for pie. But it was a classic serve and vanilla pudding is the most delicious, in my opinion!

Cooking

step-0
Berries can be fresh or frozen. I have frozen Sugar I used brown, Demerara from the Mistral. He gave a caramel flavor company grutze
step-1
About a third of the wine into a separate glass. Cover berries with the rest of the wine (not defrosting), add the sugar, vanilla sugar, cinnamon, star anise and boil for 2 minutes. If making a dessert for children - instead of wine use orange juice. Remove spices and reduce heat
step-2
Mix the starch with the remaining cold wine
step-3
Pour a thin stream of starch in the berries, stirring constantly. Starch brew and dessert thickens. Immediately remove the dessert from the stove. Cool, cover with a lid.
step-4
In the classic version of the company grutze served with vanilla pudding. For its preparation mix the milk with egg, sugar and vanilla sugar. While stirring type starch.
step-5
Cook the pudding until thick, stirring constantly. You need to stir very quickly so the egg doesn't curdle. If you have the opportunity to cook in a water bath - it is preferable. Cool completely vanilla pudding
step-6
In a sundae dish place the cooled Rota grutze, then put vanilla pudding and decorate with berries.
