Ginger-caramel cupcake
I bought fresh ginger, and decided to try a cupcake. Nice, gentle, bitter and aromatic lemon icing. Source - the book "the Deli"

Ingredients

  • Butter

    200 g

  • Sugar

    500 g

  • Milk

    300 ml

  • Chicken egg

    2 piece

  • Ginger

  • Flour

    350 g

  • Leavening agent

    2 tsp

  • Black pepper

    1 Tbsp

  • Powdered sugar

    5 Tbsp

  • Lemon juice

    3 Tbsp

Sift the flour with the baking powder

Pour into a bowl, peel and grate (on the fine grater) ginger, black pepper (put a dessert spoon)

[b]Caramel-milk mixture.[/b] Sugar pour into a saucepan or, in my case, a frying pan, add 2 tablespoons of water. Put on the heat, stirring until the sugar has slightly caramelised. 3-4 minutes

Add butter, mix and

Cook on low heat for 5 minutes.

Remove from heat, pour cold milk, stir well

To drive eggs one by one and stir again.

Make in a Cup of flour deepening and carefully pour caramel-milk mixture. Stirring with a wooden spoon,

Knead homogeneous dough.

Form for baking grease with oil, pour the dough and put in a preheated 160*C oven

for 1 hour or until tender.

[b]For the frosting.[/b]Add in the powdered sugar lemon juice (for recipe, just water), stir well. A sugar glaze the cooled cake, smooth the surface and allow the glaze to harden.
