Lenten chocolate cake
Very simple, but at the same time, very delicious chocolate cake! Preparing it is not difficult, and the food is always at hand every hostess. This recipe is suitable for those fasting or diet. Juicy, flavorful, with a rich taste and delicate cream, and it's on the table looks very nice!

Ingredients

  • Compote

    300 ml

  • Sugar

    1 cup

  • Vegetable oil

    100 ml

  • Cocoa powder

    4 Tbsp

  • Vinegar

    2 Tbsp

  • Vanilla sugar

    1 pack

  • Salt

    0.333 tsp

  • Leavening agent

    20 g

  • Flour

    260 g

  • Compote

    400 ml

  • Sugar

    6 Tbsp

  • Semolina

    3 Tbsp

Immediately ask for forgiveness, not that put all the recipe steps. At first, I thought this recipe to lay out, but then I thought maybe someone will need it, because the cake really deserves attention. And so: for the dough mix the flour, baking powder, vanilla sugar, salt, sugar and cocoa.

In a separate bowl pour in the compote. I had the cherry and black currant, but you can use a pure cherry. Add vinegar (can be Apple).

Then pour in vegetable oil, add blended dry ingredients and beat well with a whisk. Put the dough in the form greased with vegetable oil and sprinkled with semolina. Put in the preheated oven and bake for 35-40 minutes at 180 degrees. Readiness check with a toothpick. I have a form with a diameter of 26 cm, so the cake was not very high, but the taste is not affected. The best form to take a smaller size, then the cake will turn out higher, but baking time may increase by 5 minutes. Biscuit completely cool down.

While baked cake, prepare the cream: Pour the cold juice into a saucepan, add sugar and semolina. Mix well. Put on fire, bring to a boil and cook for 5-6 minutes until thick. The cream is well cool.

Beat with a mixer at high speed until fluffy and lighter in color. Cream made from almost anything, it turns the air and surprisingly tasty! If you are fasting or dieting, you can add 3 tablespoons of butter and beat again.

On the cooled cake to put the lid on the pan, slightly smaller diameter and smoothly in a circle to trim the edges. Trim grind it with a coarse grater or by hand. Cut the cake into two parts. The lower part fluff cream, cover with second part and also fluff cream.

Sprinkle the crushed cake crumbs. Optionally, the top of the cake lightly sprinkled with cocoa, as I did. To put it in the fridge for a couple of hours.
