I often have difficulties with the use of the remaining egg whites. There are many recipes that use egg yolks, but only the recipes with protein can be counted on the fingers... come immediately To mind meringue and ice cream. I have nothing against these sweet, really love them, but you always want something less complicated and quick to prepare. The recipe for this pie was for me a useful discovery, I think that you will appreciate.

Cooking
Remove the lemon peel. The original recipe was present orange, but in his absence I decided to use lemon. I think that it does not matter.
Stir soft butter with sugar. I put less sugar than in the recipe.
Then add the zest, whites and whisk until the sugar has dissolved.
Should be thick, white, creamy mass.
Now add salt, baking powder and milk and stir until a homogeneous mass.
Then introduce the flour.
The dough spread in a greased pan (I used baking paper) 20x30 cm
Bake pie in pre-heated to 160-170 degrees oven for 50-60 minutes. Allow to cool.
Now prepare the glaze: stir lemon juice with powdered sugar.
Pour the prepared cake frosting.
Turns out very tasty and high sponge cake.
If sandwiching it with any cream, will be doubly delicious. The author claims that the next day, the cake gets better... Well, tomorrow check!
