Caramel with orange zest
This turns brittle moderately hard with a wonderful orange aroma and a light citrus acidity.

Ingredients

  • Walnuts

    150 g

  • Sugar

    5 Tbsp

  • Honey

    3 Tbsp

  • Orange zest

  • Lemon juice

    1.5 Tbsp

Cooking

Walnuts chop with a knife (not too finely).

Orange rinse well, pour over boiling water and dry with a paper towel. Grate the zest (the orange you can eat:))

In a saucepan, add sugar, add honey.

Bring mixture to a boil and add the lemon juice.

Reduce heat. Add nuts and zest. Boil everything for about 2 min, stirring with a spatula.

The hot mixture carefully (hot!) put into molds (I have silicone ice tray) and leave to cool. Then put into the refrigerator for 30-40 minutes.

Store caramel in the refrigerator better, because it slightly melts. However he is eaten up on us very quickly and keep for a long time it is not necessary:)
