The British shepherd's pie
Shepherd's pie ( cottage pie, shepherd's pie) a classic dish of British cuisine, in fact, which is a casserole of meat and potatoes.

Ingredients

  • Lamb

    450 g

  • Red onion

    2 piece

  • Flour

    30 g

  • Broth

    200 g

  • Carrots

    1 piece

  • Tomato paste

    50 g

  • Sauce

    20 ml

  • Seasoning

    0.5 tsp

  • Potatoes

    450 g

  • Cream

    150 ml

  • Butter

    150 g

  • Salt

    1 tsp

  • Allspice

    0.333 tsp

  • Vegetable oil

    30 ml

Cooking

Heat the oil in a deep frying pan and passeruem onion until it becomes soft. If you want add finely chopped carrot ( I added)

Meat cut into small pieces

To the pan add the lamb and cook over medium heat until browned. Then add flour, stir.

Add the tomato sauce, broth, herbs and spices. Bring to a boil, then reduce fire and simmer 15 minutes

Put the meat in a baking dish

Allow the meat to cool

Potatoes boil, Porirua, salt, pepper to taste, add the cream and butter, stir.

Spread on the meat and mashed potatoes. First one row.

Then second, third

And so until will cover all the meat

Agriclaim the surface with a fork and bake in preheated oven at 190 degrees for 30 minutes
