Lentil cakes with citrus chips
Interesting use of beans in sweet baking. And, as one of the options to mask a very useful and necessary in the diet of lentils, for large and small consumers who are not too fond of this product. I served these muffins with sun chips and citrus orange jam - it gave the dish quite interesting and refreshing note.

Ingredients

  • Lentils

    200 g

  • Chicken egg

  • Semolina

    2 Tbsp

  • Walnuts

    2 Tbsp

  • Lemon peel

    2 tsp

  • Turmeric

    1 tsp

  • Jam

  • Honey

Here is our set of products. Lentils it is best to take the red puncture because it does not require pre-soaking, are very quickly fall apart and tastes good (I have Persian red lentils TM "Mistral).

Lentils a good wash, and filling 2 times more water, bring under cover until boiling, and then opened the lid, cook for approximately 10-15 minutes on medium heat, almost to the complete evaporation of liquid.

Softened butter RUB with sugar, then add yolks of eggs, semolina, lemon zest (I had already finished, dry the peel, next time will try with fresh, for a stronger flavor).

Blend the hot lentils and combine with the mixture and carefully whisk blender into a homogeneous mass.

Chop but not too finely, the walnuts and add them to our lenticular mass.

Beat egg whites until soft peaks form.

Stirring gently and adding small portions to connect them with the lenticular mass.

Enable warm-up to 175 degree oven. Molds (I have silicone -16pcs.) grease and sprinkle with semolina. Put them in the ground and put in the preheated oven for about 25min.

Here are our lentil muffins ready!! Thoroughly cool, remove from the molds and serve.

I served with orange marmalade and chips with lemon and lime.

Prepare the chips. To cut citrus into very thin rings. I did it on a grater. I have lemons and limes, you can take an orange, take the best tekokare fruit.

Melt the honey in a water bath and submerge the pieces of fruit. Leave them in honey for a few hours and preferably overnight.

To catch the slices with honey and spread on a baking sheet put foil or a silicone Mat, put it in the oven at a temperature of 200градусов, under the grill, 10-15 minutes to watch to not burnt!! (I have some fried harder than necessary...) to Remove them from the Mat, allow to cool and you can decorate any cakes and desserts!
