Rice pudding
Our men... Ah, our men!!! They are our defenders, our support... but, my God, they're so sweet!!! Ask any soldier-draftee, what he lacked in army and you will hear: "Sweet!" My brother's in the army, I sent a parcel home-made biscuits, condensed milk and other Goodies. So here is my recipe for the contest sweet.

  • Milk

    3.5 cup

  • Honey

    2 Tbsp

  • Sugar

    1 Tbsp

  • Lemon peel

    1 Tbsp

  • Raisins

    50 g

  • Cashews

    1 Tbsp

  • Coconut shavings

    2 Tbsp

  • Salt

  • Fruit

Rinse the raisins and soak it in hot water for 10-15 minutes.

In a saucepan pour the milk, add sugar, honey, salt and lemon zest to warm up.

In hot milk add washed rice, bring to a boil. Reduce the heat to minimum and simmer without a lid, stirring occasionally, 45 minutes. Rice needs good to soft after boiling.

In porridge ready add the raisins, nuts and coconut, mix well.

Silicone form with an empty middle, grease with vegetable oil. If the form is not silicone, covered with cling film. If this form is not, we can take any bowl and place in the middle of a small Cup.

Into prepared pan spread the rice and well sealed. Cover the form with cling film and leave to cool to room temperature. You can briefly take shape in the cold.

Any fruit or berries (I have tangerines, mango and strawberry) spread on a sieve, to stack syrup, large cut into pieces. (Forgot this step). The cooled pudding to overturn on a dish, carefully remove the form. The middle to fill with fruit and sprinkle with coconut. If desired, decorate with melted chocolate.
