Description
Very tasty, fragrant and spicy dish, almost two in one, chicken with garnish. A wonderful combination of dried ginger, saffron, cinnamon, chicken and chickpea. I never thought that cinnamon is so delicious "marry" with chicken. My home is a little language is not swallowed. I strongly recommend that you prepare, you will not regret! Source LJ, Sonya.

To start, soak the chickpeas in cold water (water should be two times more), and the next day boil it in salty water.
In a cauldron (or a saucepan with a thick bottom) melt the butter.
Add a third of the onions and fry on medium heat for 5 minutes or until onion is soft.
Add to the onion ginger, pepper and chicken and sauté for 2-3 minutes, NOT FRYING the chicken, from time to time turning it.
Add the remaining onion, 1/4 teaspoon 1 Cup water, saffron, cinnamon, and 1 tsp salt. Bring to a boil, reduce heat to low, cover and simmer for 30 minutes. After 30 minutes, add the peas, dill and parsley to the chicken. Gently stir, cover and simmer another 15 minutes or until done chicken.
Heat a pan with a little butter, catch the chicken from the sauce and over high heat, quickly sauté the chicken. Meanwhile, increase the heat under the pan with the chickpeas and let the sauce simmer a bit.
Serve the chicken, watering sauce with chickpeas, sprinkled with fresh parsley with slices of lemon and bread. I poured lemon juice on the chicken.
