Rice in Spanish
Mediterranean miracle side dish. I cooked this rice to the chicken in Spanish. They are wonderful complements to each other.

Ingredients

  • Figure

    2 cup

  • Olive oil

    2 Tbsp

  • Onion

    1 piece

  • Garlic

    1 tooth

  • Broth

    4 cup

  • Tomato

    1 cup

  • Oregano

  • Salt

    1 tsp

Saute rice in vegetable oil (to taste you can take from 2 tbsp to 1/4 Cup.) on average (but not weak) heat until brownish color. This is done to give the rice a special "nutty" flavor.

Add the onion and garlic. Cook, stirring, 4 minutes until the onions are soft.

In a separate pan bring to boil the broth, put in it the tomatoes, oregano and salt, then add the rice. When boiling, reduce the heat and cook for 15-25 min until the rice is tender. Turn off the heat and leave under the lid for another 5 min.
