Scones with currants. In explanation of the Swedish buns from Jamie Oliver
Incredibly flavorful, tender and tasty scones.

Ingredients

  • Flour

    375 g

  • Yeast

    10 g

  • Milk

    180 ml

  • Chicken egg

    1 piece

  • Butter

    25 g

  • Sugar

    180 g

  • Vanilla sugar

    1 pack

  • Black currants

    300 g

  • Orange juice

    50 ml

  • Orange zest

    1 tsp

  • Salt

1. Dissolve yeast in warm milk. In a separate bowl, the egg mixed with the sugar, vanilla sugar and salt.

2. Add the melted butter.

4. Add the sifted flour.

5. Knead a soft, stick to hands dough.

6. Put the dough in a Cup and put in a warm place. The dough should double in size. For the filling, mix berries with sugar, mash slightly with a potato masher, add the zest and juice.

7. Coming up the dough to pass on to the floured surface, stretch into a rectangle. On the middle put the stuffing.

8. Roll the dough envelope.

9. Cut into 8 and 12 parts.

10. Each piece of dough to stretch into a bundle and tie a knot. In the process the berries will drop and the batter will mix with the stuffing. And some nice buns. On top lay the fallen berries and leave for a secondary approach for 20-30 minutes.

11. Bake in a preheated 180C oven for about 35-40 minutes. Bon appetit!
