Old Polish Gingerbread
"Gorenje: Christmas song". This recipe is unusual in that the owner must in advance prepare the dough for three or four weeks before the holiday!!! And after baking to give a week to soak up the jam!!! I think the maturation of the dough in the cold does not play a big role on taste, it's just a convenient way to store. You can try to bake without waiting three weeks. And the taste of this gingerbread is a surprisingly tender and flavorful.

Ingredients

  • Flour

    500 g

  • Honey

    250 g

  • Sugar

    175 g

  • Butter

    120 g

  • Chicken egg

    2 piece

  • Soda

    1.5 tsp

  • Spices

    1 tsp

  • Walnuts

    1 handful

  • Candied

    2 Tbsp

  • Jam

Combine the honey, sugar and butter. Put on fire and bring to boil with constant stirring. Enter the beaten eggs into the cooled warm mass, stirring constantly. Then add soda dissolved in cold milk, 1/4 tsp salt, ground spices, finely chopped candied peel (I zest the lemon).

Introduce the flour and mix thoroughly. Create our miracle dough into a ball, put in crock pot and cover with a towel. The dough bake in three or four weeks!!!
