Italian festive sweets
I suggest you to try Italian Christmas sweets. Delicious, sweet, they are very simple to prepare. I found this recipe is called Italian holiday candy (Italian Holiday Candy). Why are they called candy? Honestly, I don't know. They are more like biscuits. Help yourself!

Ingredients

  • Butter

    115 g

  • Brown sugar

    0.333 cup

  • Chicken egg

    1 piece

  • Vanilla essence

    0.25 tsp

  • Flour

    1 cup

  • Salt

    0.5 tsp

  • Coconut shavings

    1 cup

  • Jam

Mix well the butter with the sugar until smooth and creamy. The oil should be at room temperature.

To separate the yolk from the white. Add egg yolk and vanilla extract to the sugar mixture and oil and mix well.

Separately mix the flour and salt and then add to the butter mixture and mix until smooth.

Form the dough into a ball, wrap in cling film and put into the refrigerator for 30 minutes.

From dough to roll small balls dipped in protein, then roll them in coconut flakes. On a baking sheet put parchment paper and lay out balls.

Cook in preheated to 175 C (350) oven for about 15 minutes. Then allow to cool completely.
