Tangerine slices in cinnamon syrup

Ingredients

  • Mandarin

    1 kg

  • Sugar

    300 g

  • Water

    600 ml

  • Turmeric

    0.25 tsp

  • Cinnamon

    0.25 tsp

  • Anis

    3 piece

  • Citric acid

Cooking

Tangerines clean from the skin, divide into segments, removing the white streaks.

When clean, then put slices in a bowl and cover with a lid, otherwise they will dry out, and we don't need this.

Water bring to a boil, add sugar, and cook for about 5 minutes. Add turmeric, cinnamon, anise, citric acid and simmer over low heat until the syrup thickens. Remove from the heat.

Put the mandarins in just boiling and removed from heat the syrup. Jars with lids pour boiling water three times and lay out the slices from the syrup cans and close the lid. Allow to cool at room temperature.

Keep slices of oranges in the cold to 1-2 months. Happy New Year!
