Apples with meringue
Delicious, healthy Breakfast baked apples with rice cereal and airy meringue.

Ingredients

  • Apple

    4 piece

  • Egg white

    2 piece

  • Sugar

    125 g

  • Rice flakes

    4 Tbsp

  • Pomegranate juice

  • Cloudberry

Optionally peel the apples. Cut the seed pods with the pulp, keeping the fruit intact.

Pour the hot cereal pomegranate juice, stir, cover and let steep for 3 minutes.

Place the apples upright in a row on the bottom of the saucepan, cover with cold water to mid fruit. Simmered under a lid for 8-10 minutes, until apples are very soft. Lay out a slotted spoon from the pan onto a plate and cool completely.

In the rice flakes to taste add sugar and mulberries ( or other berries or fruit).

Put apples in a form vertically, place in the center of each Apple ~ 2 tbsp of filling. Preheat oven to 200C.

Whip the egg whites until resistant peaks. Enter the sugar gradually until the whites will become thick and shiny. Lay them with a spoon on the apples and bake 7-10 min. until the meringue will not become light-Golden.

Serve apples hot with liquid honey or cream.
