These cookies are very often prepared in Argentina. It is very delicate, due to the cheese base, and unusually fragrant, as it includes orange peel and cinnamon - a very unusual combination. And make it snappy...)

Ingredients

  • Cheese

    200 g

  • Orange zest

    1 piece

  • Flour

    2.5 cup

  • Chicken egg

    1 piece

  • Sugar

    1 cup

  • Butter

    100 g

  • Vanilla sugar

    1 tsp

  • Cinnamon

    0.5 tsp

  • Leavening agent

    1 tsp

To remove the zest from a large orange.

Grind the zest in a blender.

Now mix 1 Cup flour with baking powder, vanilla sugar and cinnamon (mix the so-called dry ingredients).

With a mixer beat sugar with butter at room temperature and egg until smooth.

Add to the mixture the orange zest and again all beat.

Then in a bowl add curd to this mixture and mix well.

Now add to the flour and mix everything again.

On the working surface pour about a Cup of flour and spread the dough. Again knead the dough, look how much more was taken by the flour, and add more if necessary.

Here's a test piece I did.

Divide it in half.

Roll out with rolling pin to a thickness of 5 mm or cut cookie molds, or a special knife.

On a baking sheet vystelim the baking paper, lay out the biscuits and put into oven preheated to 200 degrees. on 15 minutes.

Remove cookies from oven and spread on a dish. If you want you can sprinkle with powdered sugar!
