Learned all the recipes lentil soups that are issued by a search engine. This soup is not. Which is a pity. The soup is very tasty, fragrant (the name speaks for itself), thick, rich. And, I would say, warming. And then we have cold, but heating still not working. So warm up this soup.

Ingredients

  • Chicken

  • Lentils

    200 g

  • Noodles

    100 g

  • Onion

    1 piece

  • Leeks

    2 piece

  • Carrots

    2 piece

  • Celery root

    70 g

  • Curry

    2 tsp

  • Cumin

    0.5 tsp

  • Garlic

    1 tooth

  • Ginger

    30 g

  • Butter

    50 g

  • Water

    2 l

In a saucepan melt the butter, put onion and fry until transparent, add the lentils, curry, cumin, and fry all together for few minutes.

Pour hot broth and cook over low heat without cover for 30 minutes. During this time the lentils will fall apart.

Meanwhile, clean and cut into small cubes or shredded (I prefer shredded) carrots and celery (you can do without it).

Cut into slices the white part of the leeks. Ginger RUB on a small grater.

After 30 minutes add to the soup carrots and celery

omit the noodles, salt and pepper. Cook until tender.

Dipped in the soup meat and the chopped garlic. Turn off the heat, cover the soup with a lid and let stand 10 minutes.

To serve, sprinkle with herbs. The soup is very thick, rich.
