Gnocchi with prunes
Gnocchi - potato dumplings known to all. Served with tomato, cheese, hot dish. However, in one of the regions of Italy - Trieste, gnocchi stuffed with plums and served as a dessert. The fact that in Trieste grow gorgeous plum Mirabella, and use them for cooking various dishes and drinks (some slivovitz).

  • Potatoes

  • Flour

    250 g

  • Chicken egg

    1 piece

  • Bread

    100 g

  • Butter

    200 g

  • Sugar

    50 g

  • Prunes

    200 g

For stuffing, in season, use fresh fruit, but in winter I made gnocchi with prunes.

Grind stale bread and fry in butter with sugar.

Boil the potatoes in their skins, hot we clean, wipe, add flour, egg, knead the potato dough.

Prunes bread stuffing mass.

Divide potato mixture into 8 parts, on the cake, put the prepared plums, forming a ball.

In boiling salted water, drop gnocchi potato, cook for 5 minutes, remove, allow to drain water, spread on a plate.

Pour hot oil with crumbs of toasted bread, sprinkle with sugar.
