Dumplings dumplings with berry couscous
Tender, hearty, with a unique aroma and taste. Will appeal to both children and adults.

Ingredients

  • Couscous

    1 cup

  • Raspberry

    0.7 cup

  • Cherry

    0.7 cup

  • Black currants

    0.7 cup

  • Brown sugar

    75 g

  • Flour

    5 cup

  • Water

    600 ml

  • Salt

  • Vanilla essence

    0.5 tsp

  • Cinnamon

    0.5 tsp

  • Nutmeg

  • Vegetable oil

Here are the products we will need for the test. Pour into a bowl of 300ml of boiling water. Add salt, sugar and vanilla essence. Introduce the flour, carefully vymeshivaem. I took a mixture of wheat flour and flour, but you can use flour only the highest quality.

Add flour until the dough begins to come unstuck from hands. The finished dough wrap in cling film and put to rest in the fridge for 1-2 hours.

In a saucepan pour the berries. Pour 300 ml of water, add 60 g of sugar (with so many our filling is not very sweet, if you like sweeter then sugar you to put a little more), cinnamon, and nutmeg. Bring to a boil and switch off.

In hot berry mixture add the Cup of couscous and stir. Leave alone to soak for 20 minutes.

When the cous cous is ready, carefully mix our stuffing. The color is amazing, and the aroma and the taste is just divine.

When our dough is rested, remove it from refrigerator and divide into pieces of the desired size. I did and dumplings, and cakes are pretty big, so I eventually turned 24 piece. Each piece roll out the dough, put the filling and shape the dumplings or cakes in the shape that we like, cakes I create rectangles and dumplings a classic semi-circle. Part of the dumplings can be frozen for future use.

Dumplings can be cooked, like me, in the steamer for approximately 20-30 minutes or boil in salted water.
