Carrots Flemish
Carrots in a mild creamy sauce.

Ingredients

  • Carrots

    4 piece

  • Butter

    1 Tbsp

  • Cream

    100 ml

  • Yolk egg

    1 piece

  • Orange zest

    1 tsp

  • Sugar

    0.5 tsp

  • Salt

  • Black pepper

Cooking

Scrape the carrots and cut them into slices. Cover with water and cook 5 minutes. Drain the water.

Then re-fill with cold water so that the carrots were a bit covered. Add butter, sugar, zest and simmer over medium heat until partial evaporation of the water.

Cream mix thoroughly with the yolk. The received mix to pour in to the carrots, heat but do not boil. Salt and pepper to taste.
