Description

Cookies with rose water
From a trip I recently brought a bottle of pink cooking water, and he for some time stood peacefully on the shelf. Then I found online a simple cookie recipe with rose water - and decided to bake. The cookies turned out tender and crumbly, with a wonderful aroma, and flew very fast. If You have access to rose water, I recommend to try!

Ingredients

  • Flour

    1.5 cup

  • Butter

    85 g

  • Water pink

    1 Tbsp

  • Powdered sugar

    0.5 cup

  • Chicken egg

    1 piece

  • Almonds

    0.5 cup

Cooking

step-0
Almond grind in a blender into crumbs. If You have bought unshelled nuts, they need to pour boiling water for 15 minutes, and then rinse with cold water - so they are easily cleansed from the skin. By the way, the almonds can easily replace other nuts.
step-1
The main character - rose water. The smell is very intense, pronounced, so stick with one tablespoon. But if You have less than concentrated essence, you can pour two. I was afraid that the cookies will taste bitter because essence taste very bitter. But I needn't have bothered - the bitterness isn't felt at all in the finished cookies.
step-2
Shall pound the butter with the powder, add the almonds, the egg and pour in the rose water. Portions add the sifted flour and knead the dough to such a state that it even stuck to my fingers, but it was very thick, and it was difficult to interfere with a spoon. Put into the fridge for 30 minutes, covering the bowl with the dough with cling film or a cloth.
step-3
From the test, tear off small pieces, with wet hands roll balls the size of a large walnut. Spread on a baking tray lined with baking paper. Bake at 160-170 degrees for about 20 minutes. Much romanite cookies is not necessary. I have specified the number of products turned out 22 small cookies.
step-4
Sprinkle finished cookies with powdered sugar and served with tea!
