Rum muffins with raisins
The simple pastry, which to learn by novice housewife is cupcakes and muffins. They are often confused. The cupcake batter is based on butter and eggs, the batter for the muffins lighter. Today in every national cuisine there are cupcakes and muffins. Distinguish between English muffins (they bake yeast) and American (as a baking powder using baking soda, flour). Last option is the most common.

Ingredients

  • Flour

    300 g

  • Sugar

    150 g

  • Butter

    85 g

  • Sour cream

    100 g

  • Chicken egg

    1 piece

  • Milk

    100 ml

  • Leavening agent

    1.5 tsp

  • Raisins

    80 g

  • Rum

    2 Tbsp

  • Powdered sugar

Cooking

The raisins soak in the rum for 10 minutes.

Softened beat butter with egg and sugar.

Add the sour cream. Mix well.

Enter parts milk and sifted with the baking powder and the flour.

Add the raisins along with the rum. Stir in the dough.

The dough is spread out on silicone moulds, filling to 2/3 of the height. If using metal tins, then grease them with butter before you spread the dough.

Put in a preheated 190S the oven. Bake for approximately 25 minutes.

The finished muffins to cool for 18 minutes in the forms, and then on the grill. Cooled muffins, sprinkle with powdered sugar.
