Spicy rice with apples and dried fruit
Fragrant rice, spices, fresh apples and dried fruits. This dish is perfect as a garnish, and as a separate dish.

Ingredients

  • Vegetable oil

    3 Tbsp

  • Cardamom

  • Carnation

  • Turmeric

    1 tsp

  • Ginger

  • Nutmeg

  • Cinnamon

    1 tsp

  • Allspice

  • Black pepper

  • Lemon peel

    1 tsp

  • Apple

    2 piece

  • Water

    4 cup

  • Figure

    2 cup

  • Dried fruits

    1.5 cup

  • Salt

The basmati rice washed and soaked in water for 30min. Then rinse again with water should be transparent. Drain the water.

Soft dried to wash with water, the solid is soaked in hot water for 15 min. Dried fruit cut into pieces the same size with flavor.

In a frying pan with a thick bottom (or pan) heat the sunflower oil. Put dried fruits in it and fry them for 5 minutes, stirring constantly.

The apples are not cleaned – they better retain their shape. Apples cut in half, remove the core, cut them into wedges, and slices across large slices.

To prepare the spices and zest of lemon or orange (I have a lemon).

Dried fruit in the pan pushed to the side, freeing the middle of the pan. Put the spices and lemon zest in the middle of the pan in horaee oil to warm up. Mix well.

On top of the apples and dried fruit to put washed rice.

Pour water in the ratio 1:2 (1st. rice: 2st. water). Salt. Put on fire, bring to a boil. Cover the pan with a lid, to make a quiet fire and cook for 10-15min. – water should be fully absorbed by the rice.

After the time remove from heat, mix everything carefully. Cover with a lid and leave for some time (10 minutes).
