Roast rabbit in a mint-orange sauce
The dish is simple, prepared quickly, it turns out simply delicious. Even my husband, who is not too welcomed a sweet taste in meat dishes, very much.

Ingredients

  • Rabbit

    1.2 kg

  • Celery root

    80 g

  • Olive oil

    1 Tbsp

  • Butter

    1 Tbsp

  • Orange

    2 piece

  • Liqueur

    40 ml

  • Broth

    150 ml

  • Thyme

  • Mint

    1 tsp

  • Salt

  • Black pepper

A rabbit we buy is very difficult, but fillets are often sold. I had 800 g rabbit fillet. Rabbit cut into portions, in the case of fillet cut it into cubes of medium size, season with salt and pepper.

In a deep saucepan, heat olive and butter.

Fry the rabbit on all sides until light Golden brown.

Add the zest and juice of one orange, liqueur, thyme and broth.

Simmer on very low heat, covered for about 1 hour.

At the end of quenching (for 5 minutes) put the meat in slices of orange.

On a garnish submit a white rice. He goes best with this dish.

Creme de menthe can be replaced by cherry, but then you have to exclude dried mint. Get quite different, but no less tasty dish.
