Lamb with pumpkin and honey
Unimaginably flavorful dish! For the contest "Autumn tango"

Ingredients

  • Butter

    20 g

  • Onion

    1 piece

  • Garlic

    3 tooth

  • Vinegar

    60 ml

  • Cinnamon

    2 piece

  • Lamb

    1.1 kg

  • Pumpkin

    1 piece

  • Honey

    2 Tbsp

  • Salt

  • Black pepper

Preheat the oven to 180 gr. In a pot in which to bake the meat, melt the butter over medium heat. When the butter begins to foam, add the onion and garlic. Cook, stirring occasionally, for about 5 minutes, until onion is soft.

Add the vinegar and cinnamon sticks, bring to boil and remove from heat.

Add the lamb. Mix thoroughly so each piece of meat covered with vinegar. Cover tightly with a lid or foil and bake in the oven for 30 minutes, stirring occasionally.

Meanwhile, clean the pumpkin and cut into large chunks (about 3 cm).

Put the pumpkin meat, add honey. Bake, without covering, for 1 hour, or until the pumpkin and lamb are tender.

The finished dish salt and pepper.

Serve with mashed potatoes or boiled potatoes. Bon appetit!
