Meatballs fish
Source: a recipe by a famous Israeli chef and TV presenter of Israel Aharoni. I the recipe is a bit simplified and made less severe.

Ingredients

  • Fish

    500 g

  • Onion

    1 piece

  • Sweet pepper

    3 piece

  • Parsley

    0.5 cup

  • Olive oil

  • Salt

  • Black pepper

  • Garlic

    2 tooth

  • Zira

    0.5 tsp

  • Lemon juice

  • Turmeric

    0.5 tsp

  • Water

    4 cup

  • Couscous

    1 cup

To cook the meatballs will of these products. In the original, the pepper should be spicy. But I used sweet. Fish will suit any. Parsley can replace cilantro.

Mince fish, onion, 1 sweet pepper (cleaned of seeds) and parsley leaves. Add 2 tbsp olive oil, salt and black pepper to taste.

Hands greased with olive oil and form round balls 3-3. 5 cm in diameter. Because of the abundance of green vegetables, meatballs I have got a greenish tint. Therefore, the stuffing can take a pepper of a different color. Eggs are not needed.

Start cooking sauce. Red sweet pepper (seeded) cut into large pieces. Garlic cut into slices.

Pour olive oil in a saucepan with a wide bottom and add the garlic and cumin. They should give the aroma of olive oil. When the oil heats up, add the red pepper and fry 5 minutes.

Pour 2.5-3 cups of boiling water. Salt and pepper to taste. Add lemon juice and turmeric.

Dipped in the sauce the meatballs. Cook for 30 minutes on low heat.

Garnish can be any. For example, mashed potatoes. But we will prepare the couscous. Will use prefabricated "couscous". Couscous is semolina, made from semolina. 1. Pour it into the bowl. 2. Pour the boiling water. Salt. Mix well. 3. Close the lid for 5 minutes.

4. Add 1 tbsp olive oil. With a fork mix well. Without cover to keep for another 5 minutes.

On the plate put the couscous slide, around it - meatballs and red pepper. Cover with the sauce. Ready! Bon appetit!!!
