Rice cakes with lentils and shrimp
A simple and hearty recipe that can be served as an appetizer or as a separate dish. Bon appetit!

Ingredients

  • Flour

    120 g

  • Rice flour

    100 g

  • Lentils

    100 g

  • Shrimp

    50 g

  • Cheese

    30 g

  • Cilantro

    10 g

  • Olive oil

    100 ml

  • Garlic

    2 tooth

Cooking

First prepare the dough. To my delight it has no yeast :) combine wheat and rice flour.

Add 1 tbsp. of olive oil.

Gradually pour warm water (5-6 tbsp)

Knead the dough using a mixer or hands until it becomes smooth. Put it in cling film and refrigerate for 30 minutes.

While the dough is resting, we will prepare the stuffing. I used 3 kinds of lentils - black and green (they retain their shape when cooked) and yellow, it softens and connects the lentils together. Whole lentils, rinse, put in pot and cover with water 1:2 and cook for 15 minutes.

Prepare the filling: combine the lentils, thawed peeled shrimp, aged cheddar (if you plan to cook the pies in the post, then do not put cheese), 2 cloves of garlic and cilantro.

Roll out the dough, cut out the circle on one half spread the filling and cover with the other half.

In a frying pan or wok, heat the olive oil, lay out the cakes and fry on both sides until Golden brown.

Put the pies on a towel, leaving the excess oil.

We are all set. Excellent choice of sauce - sour cream and soy sauce.
