Rice dumplings
I want to share with you a wonderful recipe for rice dumplings. They can also be eaten with sour cream, kids like it with cheese, butter and sugar or fruit, and I cook them on the second instead of pasta, throw sauce or meat fried. Today I cooked rice with meat glosecki beet gravy. Very hearty and delicious! Surely that's got suburban area, home grown red beets – very useful and bright vegetable!

Ingredients

  • Rice flakes

    250 g

  • Beets

    1 piece

  • Onion

    2 piece

  • Chicken egg

    1 piece

  • Garlic

    2 tooth

  • Pork

    700 g

  • Flour

    250 g

  • Vinegar

    1 Tbsp

  • Water

    200 ml

  • Bay leaf

    1 piece

  • Spices

    1 tsp

  • Salt

  • Black pepper

  • Vegetable oil

    4 Tbsp

Beets grate, pour Apple cider vinegar, stir and leave to marinate.

Cut the meat into cubes and lightly fry in vegetable oil.

Add the beets to the meat and simmer for 20-25 minutes. Want to give a little advice: to beet faster, ready, for soup or other meals, have a bowl of grated beets and sprinkle with vinegar to put on 5 minutes in the microwave on full power.

While preparing meat with beets, prepare the rice dough for the dumplings. Rice flakes (can be rice) to grind in a coffee grinder.

Add the flour, a pinch of salt, egg and water. Knead the dough. If 200 ml of water is not enough, add some more. The dough should not stick to hands.

Divide the dough into 4 pieces, roll into cords and cut into coins with a thickness of 3-4 mm.

Sometimes I make these dumplings and freeze for future use. Then with them you can cook soups, cook for a second or make children sweet breakfasts.

Back to the gravy – onion chopped and add to meat with beetroot, place the Bay leaf and simmer for another 10-15 minutes. Then add salt, pepper, season with spices, add pressed garlic and stir. If gravy is thick, add a little boiling water. Cover and simmer for 1-2 minutes.

Boil in salted water rice dumplings.

Drain in a colander, pour the beetroot and meat sauce and serve!
