Offer to your attention his version of carrot cake with poppy seeds. A composition composed of different variations of the recipe based on the ingredients I had available at the time of preparation of the pie. Turned out amazing texture. Cooking
Let's start with the Mac. Steamed it with boiling water for 20 minutes.
In a deep bowl will proseem the flour, add the soda, citric acid, cardamom and orange zest. I zest prepared in advance – took it from the orange, cut into thin slices-stripes and froze. Mix everything together until and set aside.
Carrots wash, peel and RUB on a small grater. If there is juice, it is drained it is not necessary. Pour the carrot juice from 1 lemon. Mix and also set aside.
Separate the yolks from the whites. Proteins are put away in the fridge. And the RUB yolks with sugar white.
Now merge with Mac all the liquid and combine it with the yolk mass.
To flour mixture add carrots, stir a little.
Then enter the yolk mass.
Get chilled whites, add a pinch of salt and whisk in a lush, airy foam.
Parts add the protein foam and gently stir.
Spread in the form greased with butter and floured, at half height. I came in two forms, one Ø 23 see, the other Ø 16 cm.
Bake in preheated oven for 40 minutes at 200°C. I put the bake from both forms. Since I have a gas oven and rather gentle, the little pie I pulled after 40 minutes, and the patient in another 10. So be guided by your oven. If necessary, check readiness of a wooden splinter.
