Beets in sweet marinade
Found this recipe in the book "the Orthodox encyclopedia cuisine." I read and really wanted to try. Myself made a little modifications and it turned out very, very tasty pickled beets.

Ingredients

  • Beets

    500 g

  • Water

    1 cup

  • Sugar

    1 Tbsp

  • Vinegar

    3 Tbsp

  • Cumin

    1 tsp

  • Salt

    0.5 tsp

  • Peppers red hot chilli

Beets clean, cut into pieces and put in a container where it will marinate.

To prepare the marinade, boil the water, sugar, salt and cumin. Add a little hot pepper (1/2 or 1/4 tsp) and vinegar. Vinegar you can substitute lemon juice.
