Braised duck leg with onion-orange sauce
My first recipe! My first duck! Mother-in-law brought back two duck legs. I've been looking for what to do with them, I decided to put it out. Time to extinguish took a lot, but it was very tasty! The meat was very soft, juicy and had amazing flavor. (Photo did not have time to do normal home and demanded dinner)))

Ingredients

  • Duck

    0.6 kg

  • Onion

    1 piece

  • Orange

    1 piece

  • Paprika sweet

    1 tsp

  • Garlic

    2 tooth

  • Salt

    1 tsp

  • Black pepper

  • Water

    300 ml

  • Flour

    1 Tbsp

And cut the duck into several pieces. Fill with water so that the meat was not covered. Cover with a lid and over high heat allow to boil.

After boiling, diminish the fire to a minimum. Sprinkle with salt, stir, add pepper. Cut onion into half rings and place on top (it needs to be in the water, namely, the meat). Sprinkle with paprika and ground black pepper. Close the lid and simmer for about 15-20 minutes.

Stir, trying to duck out on a bed of onions. Cover with a lid and simmer for another 40-50 minutes, stirring occasionally. After you squeeze the orange juice. (You can distribute slices without skin, but I don't like fruit a La compote). If a little water can be refilled. Simmer for 30-40 minutes.

I like the sauce thicker, so the flour dilute in half a glass of water and infuse for 2 minutes before end of cooking.

Very gentle and soft duck with a light orange flavor and a slightly sweet taste. On the side I had buckwheat, but rice or potatoes also perfect. While making the bow almost all "melted" and the sauce turned thick and Golden caramel color. Bon appetit!!!
