Spicy carrot side dish
The recipe for this garnish I picked up from Lucinda Scala Quinn in her program "save the starving". It was served with succulent beef steak, and I have it perfectly went with potato-cheese fritters. The recipe for the donuts is on the site, but the carrots in this version I have not seen. The side dish is very simple and quickly prepared, but will not leave anyone indifferent.

Ingredients

  • Carrots

    400 g

  • Onion

    1 piece

  • Mint

    1 coup

  • Salt

    1 tsp

  • Olive oil

    2 Tbsp

  • Water

    50 ml

  • Pepper white

    1 tsp

  • Sugar

    1 Tbsp

  • Vinegar

    2 Tbsp

  • Tomato paste

    1 Tbsp

Cooking

Carrots cut into strips and spread on a pan with olive oil. A little fry on medium heat.

Finely shinkuem onion, mint (it gives the side dish an unusual taste), salt, white pepper, sugar, water and wine vinegar. Simmer under closed lid for 10 min.

In the end add the tomato dressing, a little hold on the fire without cover and garnish ready. If you still want to go for the gusto, you can drop of Tabasco.
